"If among you, one of your brothers should become
poor, in any of your towns within your land that the Lord your God
is giving you, you shall not harden your heart or shut your hand
against your poor brother, but you shall open your hand to him and
lend him sufficient for his need, whatever it may be."
Deuteronomy 15:7-8
Club
Sandwich is WPC’s community care ministry to the homeless and
working poor in Lake Worth. It is our goal love our neighbors as
ourselves by providing physical and spiritual nourishment to the
poor in our county. Every Tuesday people gather to make bag meals,
sort clothing, and assemble hygiene kits to bring comfort to the
homeless and working poor. So, whether you are a student, parent,
young adult, or a grandparent your contribution will deeply impact
those in need with the gospel. So join us as we move into the lives
of the poor in our county to meet, share, give, and love.
Five ways you can help:
1.
MAKE MEALS: Every Tuesday from 1:30-3pm in C-12
We need people to make 60 bag
meals, sort donated clothes, and assemble hygiene kits.
2.
TAKE MEALS: Every Tuesday from 3:30-5:30pm
We need people to go to Lake
Worth to hand out meals and personally minister to the homeless.
3. BOTH make and take meals
4.

CLUB SANDWICH DONATION LIST
Financially
- One meal including a Gatorade cost $1.68. Our weekly cost to feed 60
people is $100. The best way to donate to
the finances of Club Sandwich is by adding on top of your weekly tithe.
however, we do accept donations and gift cards
to Costco and Wal-Mart. (Make checks out to Wellington Presbyterian Church. Write
"Club Sandwich" on the memo line)
- Another
financial help that greatly reduces our budget is to purchase the
food we use to make the meals. We have
selected a specific menu that
is nutritious including all four food groups and cost effective.
Here are the following foods
you can purchase and where to find
them:
