What are D.E.L.T.A. Teams?
D.E.L.T.A. stands for: discipleship, evangelism, love, training
in righteousness,
and accountability. D.E.L.T.A. Team discipleship’s purpose is to
disciple students for servant ministry personally and in the
church by teaching a full understanding of the gospel to bring
real transformation to their hearts, minds, and lives.
It
is here that student will receive personal and intensive
discipleship that makes the existing biblical content students
have received concrete in their lives. It is here that students
are trained to become fully functioning members of Christ’s body
as they learn to die to their life of serving their own desires
and submitting to Jesus and serving others. The D.E.L.T.A. Teams
are the centerpiece of the Student Ministry because it is those
students who are generating ministry opportunities and growth
among the other students as they serve and love them with the
gospel.
Each D.E.L.T.A. Team is made up of five students and an older
believer who is more spiritually mature. The group leader walks
along side the students as they journey through life to discover
a larger, more powerful, and more loving Jesus who they can
trust with their lives. The leader serves as a teacher, coach,
confronter, encourager, counselor, friend, confidant, fellow
sinner, and a brother or sister in the Lord.
Who
are D.E.L.T.A. Teams for?
-
Student who hunger and thirst for
Christ and growth in that relationship
-
Students who
regularly and actively participate in activities, Campus
Nite and Sunday School
-
Students
willing and available to commit to attending weekly
-
Student
willing to share, be challenged, serve, and develop a
personal ministry
D.E.L.T.A. Team Commitment:
The Student Ministry considers this commitment to be very
important. In fact, we regard it as a paramount commitment over
all the other activities because it pertains to the eternal work
of Christ and the furthering of His Kingdom through the
redeeming of sinners. The commitment to the D.E.L.T.A. team
should reflect the commitment one makes to extra curricular
activities such as drama, music, or sports teams.

We offer open groups for students if for any reason we are not able
to fit you into an existing group. Open groups are great to check
out what discipleship is like. This way we always have a place for
every student desiring to be discipled. Once a new leader is
recruited, we'll form a new team with 5 students with that leader.
At that point, that new group will become a closed group.
If you aren't in a group yet, come
check us out!
